Communication is Movement in Design

My Passion lies in Design Communications

I tend to dabble in all things, related to design communications. You can say, I am the “Jack of All Trades and Master of None.” I have heard people say that it is good and it is bad. I’d like to look at it as it is a wonderful and flexible quality to have. To be able to leverage many skills, with the ability to focus, now that is “power” worth attaining.

“It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war.”

With that being said, I dabble in things like User Interface Designs (UI), User Experience Designs (UX), Graphic and Web Design, Photography, and Video Editing. I use a myriad of creative software such as Adobe Products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, Adobe Xd, etc.), Serif Labs (Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, and Affinity Publisher), and many other Open Source products.

My passion lies in the creation process. Communication is a complex process waiting to be unraveled. It goes beyond design. It is about the messages and the meaning the audience receives and interprets. An opportunity to connect and build relationships with the target audience. It is deeper than what is being seen and/or said because it is not being viewed with just the eyes or with spoken words, but with human emotions. Emotions that connect deep within the target audience. Emotions create movements. Movements generate feelings and actions produce results. It is the art of communication, using every available visual means, that goes beyond what is seen and/or spoken with words.

Words and phrases at times can cause chaos and confusion. Too many chefs in the kitchen will spoil the food. Too many sounds will deafen the ear. Speaking too much causes the absence of credibility. Trying to shine too much will only dim our own light. When it comes to communication, less is more.

It is about creating excitement with expectations in subtle and simple ways, but with powerful messages and impactful meanings. With simplicity, massive attention can be guided toward the expected outcome. “The squeaky wheel gets the grease.” With communication, it does not matter what type of medium is being used.  It is “how” the medium is being utilized to achieve the overall communication results that are “rich” in experience.

"To Design is to Create, To Create is to Communicate, To Communicate is to Express Oneself. Therefore, Designing is Creating Communications that Expresses Oneself."
